Interested in Owning a Habitat Home?
Due to the extremely high volume of potential applicants waiting to attend an Orientation Meeting, we can no longer accept new Interest Forms and therefore must temporarily close the list for Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding counties until 2015.
If you're interested in home ownership, please read over the guidelines and prepare financially if necessary to apply when the list re-opens. We hope you'll re-visit us again in 2015. Thank you.
Step 1 - Determine if you’re ready to attend.
NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity serves Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding counties. Click on the appropriate county Cobb, Douglas, Paulding - and carefully review the guidelines. If you are able to answer "yes" to all of the questions on that page, you are ready for Step 2.
Step 2 - Register to attend an Applicant Orientation Meeting (link to the "Interest Form" is at the bottom of the guidelines page for each county).
Meetings are held 2-4 times per year. After submitting an Interest Form, you will be placed on our list to be invited to the next scheduled meeting.
The invitation will be sent to your email address. Please add @nwmetroatlantahabitat.org to your email safe list so you will receive our emails.
At the meeting, you will learn more about the Habitat Homeownership Program. You will also receive an Application Packet, to apply for a home.
Step3 - Complete Application Packet and return with all necessary documents by the deadline given.
Your completed Application Packet will be reviewed by the appropriate Habitat staff, the Family Selection Committee, and the NW Metro Atlanta Habitat Board of Directors. You will be formally notified of your acceptance/denial into the Habitat Homeownership Program within 30 days.
Thank you for your interest in NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. We hope to see you soon!
