Catholic Coalition a group of five Catholc churches--Catholc Church of St. Ann, St. Catherine of Siena, Holy Family, Transfiguration and St. Joseph--who come together each year to fund and build one and a half houses in Cobb County with NW Metro Atlanta Habitat.

Cobb Electric Membership Corporation is a not-for-profit electric membership cooperative providing reliable electric energy. Formed in 1938, Cobb EMC started as an electric utility with 489 residential members and 14 commercial accounts. Serving approximately 196,000 residential and commercial customers, Cobb EMC is one of the largest of Georgia's 42 EMCs, and is among the largest of the nation's approximately 900 EMCs.

Cobb High School Coalition  Half house sponsor for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.  This year's CHSC members are Campbell, Kennesaw Mountain, North Cobb and Pope high schools.

Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition House sponsor for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.  CIHC is an interfaith--Christian, Jewish and Muslim--group with that also has a few corporate members.  All are focused on building Habitat homes as their way of giving back to the communty.  Currently, there are about 16 members of the coalition.

Cobb United Methodist Coalition  House sponsor for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.  CUMC is a combination faith-based, corporate coalition whose members are: First UMC of Marietta, Due West UMC, Heidelberg USA and Munich RE.

Walton High School  Half House sponsor for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

 


 

Cobb County Community Development Block Grant Program Office  Administers a variety of federally funded programs in Cobb County, mainly received through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

EarthCents  Georgia Power's portfolio of energy efficiency programs created to help our customers save money, use energy efficiently and help the environment. From providing energy efficiency advice, to conducting energy audits, to offering incentives and rebates to help customers make efficiency improvements, we can help.

EarthCraft  A home with EarthCraft certification is one that has been designed to suit the unique climate conditions of the Southeast. EarthCraft projects are built for energy-, water- and resource-efficiency, durability, and superior indoor air quality – all key factors in achieving a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

Energy Star  To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
